OUR SCHOLAR PROGRAMS

Scholar Summer Academy

A place where our scholars can dream and visualize themselves to be the agents of change in their family, community, and society.

Providing scholars in grades 8th–10th with a safe summer haven where they can connect with peers facing similar life challenges. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to reduce learning loss while creating meaningful, lasting memories. More than just a summer camp, it’s an enriching experience that empowers scholars, builds resilience, and helps shape their future.

Pure Heart Foundations’ summer programming is designed to support scholars’ emotional well-being by continuing the healing process for those overcoming emotional trauma. At the same time, it addresses and strengthens their educational needs through intentional, structured learning experiences.

Through the Scholars Summer Academy, participants will also develop critical social skills, build positive peer relationships, and engage in enriching activities that reduce the risk of learning loss.

Mental Health & Wellness

We The psychological devastation a child faces from losing their parent to incarceration can cause emotional and behavioral imbalances. The emotional well-being of our scholars is the core of our Holistic Model.

Academic Enrichment

We want our Scholars to thrive educationally. Focusing on our Scholars academic enrichment increases the opportunity for advancement in their education and future career endeavors. Children of incarcerated parents have a greater chance of breaking the cycle of incarceration if they successfully complete high school.

Family Reunification

When a child communicates and visits their parent while incarcerated, the child is least likely to have abandonment barriers, behavioral, and comprehension barriers. Family Reunification is a critical component to our holistic model because it helps improve, heal and reunify our scholars and their incarcerated parents.

Recreational & Arts

Recreational & Arts allows our scholars to socially develop while interacting with their Pure Heart friends and community. Children of incarcerated parents often feel isolated, alone and unrelatable. This program provides normalcy and it shields them from their reality through fun, engaging and life rememberable experiences.
